The elderly population in Israel is rising exponentially, but with a shortage in caregivers the government has allowed workers from developing countries to come work. Over 30,000 Filipinos have answered this call becoming migratory, like butterflies. An elderly employer with dementia (who declined to give her name) silently sits at Bat Yam Park south of Tel Aviv.

A personal creation that mimics how our society often looks at people as the “other” in terms of race, gender, religion, and so forth. By using two of the same shells on grass, I sought to show how we’re all the same at the end of the day. We as humanity are responsible for creating our own boundaries against others that make people see our neighbors as so foreign.
